Default Repair Gateway LCD Monitor

Anyone ever changed the backlight on a lcd monitor or how do you check to
see if that is the problem? My monitor just "snapped" and went out. Not
sure if it is the lamp, but thought I would check it out if there is some
way to do it.

Thanks

It could be the bulb, or its power supply (the DC inverter). The latter
is easy to change but usually hard to come by. The former is easy to
come by, but hard to change.

It'll run you about $100-150 to have the display repaired - balance that
against the cost of a new panel. If it's a 15" or 17" panel it may not
make much sense to have it repaired - if it's larger, it might.
