Default Dell = fu**wits

Want a handheld PC - looking at the dell outlet for an Axim..

They have one at £421+vat - a saving of £110 they say - bargain ?

No when ya price it up new its £405 approx - cheeky gits.

When I ring the phone number - woman insists that they don't have to
reflect new prices - their £521 is a "commercial price". Pity they have
to sell in the real world.

Heard bad things about dell and this confirms them as a waste of space..

Seems Laptop vendors all think that new price don't affect 2nd
hand/refurbs

My experience of them was verging on the total imcompetence...

I order a Inspiron 8200 laptop about 6 months ago, waited for it to
arrive, and when it was overdue, phoned them up... "ohh, the order was
cancelled..", so they re-ordered it for me, I waited another week, and
phoned again "ohh, the order was cancelled AGAIN", waited another week,
still no laptop, phoned a 3rd time, "It seems the order has been
cancelled again sir, perhaps there is a problem with your card..".

As it transpires, I requested that my work delivery address was added to
my creditcard, but the creditcard company did not update it. The
problem was that the card was being rejected each time Dell tried to
submit it. They did not bother to tell me this thou....

Why not just buy new then?

Secondhand laptops are never worth it IMO. Either they have foreign
keyboards, knackered batteries, poor spec, broken hinge or something else
wrong.

The oulet ones are supposed to be cheaper - returns under DSR I presume?
