Default P5WDH internal sound win xp comparing to vista

Dear Reader,

when using ap5WdH deluxe based system with vista as os the internal
sound system works quite well meaning hearing no additional noise.
When using the same system with win xp i can hear a lot of low or high
frequency noise when moving the mouse or doing any action on the desktop.
I´m using a 2+1 system comected to the green audio output on the rear
side of the mainboard. As soundsoftaware i ´m using in both cases the
asus (realtek) software.
Any hints and tips from you are wellcome to get rid of the noise.

talk to you later

Norbert

It sounds like a dual-boot system?
If so, all I can think of is to check *every* mixer (use the scroll arrows)
and make sure they are the same. XP and Vista 'defaults' may be different.
One you probably want to make sure is muted is "CD Volume" - the input
for that is via the (very) legacy CD analogue connector on the mobo..
HTH,
