Latitude CPi M233ST: Microphone causes high pitched noise over the internal speakers
I allready tried this before but it did not solve the problem.
Upon reboot all the previously set values are back to the old situation. Is it perhaps possible to switch off the microphone completely by editing the registry? If so, does anyone have instructions to realise this? TIA Paul "Robert" wrote in message ... Yes In the sound advanced properties do NOT have the microphone set (ticked) as a playback device. Only have it ticked under recording devices. "ZyBeta" wrote in message l.nl... Under Microsoft Windows 98SE (Dutch) the microphone on my Dell Latitude CPi M233ST causes a high pitched noise over the internal speakers untill i switch the notebook off again. I have tried to lower the volume for the microphone and have even disabled the microphone. As soon as i reboot my notebook it is all back to the old situation and the microphone is back on and the volume is up. Under Microsoft Windows XP the problem does not exist. But since i am not a Microsoft Windows XP fan i turned back to Microsoft Windows 98SE. I currently switched off audio in the BIOS but then i can't listen to music on CD or MP3. Has anyone had this problem before? It is really driving me nuts! Paul |
