Does CF/SLI need compatible programs/games to work?
I posted on a GTA4 forum about graphic drop-outs since I installed an
XFX 6870 black edition (with latest driver). I've been thinking about adding another 6870 to run in CF. However, when I posted about adding the second video card someone answered that it wouldn't help GTA4 because the game isn't optimized to use CF/SLI. Is this correct? Do programs/games need to be able to take advantage of CF/SLI configuration for them to be any benefit? I thought the processing happened at the hardware level, i.e. swapping frames between cards? Thx. |

There's bound to be a few comments out there. http://forums.amd.com/game/messagevi...hreadid=144745 "It doesn't the game scales like poo" Umm. That doesn't sound good. Paul |
