Big Problem with ECS K7S5A
Hello NG,
at first sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker. Below you see the text in german. I got a big Problem with my PC: K7S5A Rev. 3 with honeyX Bios vom 11.8.03 AMD XP 1700+ 2x256 MB Infineon @ Apacer SD-RAM AOpen GeForce 4 GF-4200-DV-64 (once: Elsa Gladiac 516, GF 2 Ti) I wanted to get the GF2 passively cooled, so I tried to underclock it via the Coolbits Registry patch. It didn't work so I rebooted while pressing the Ctrl-Key like it is described in the nVidia Manual. This did not only bring the Graphics Board back to Standard settings, it also deleted my BIOS. Luckyly I've got an EEPROM-Flasher at home so I could get the BIOS back on the Chip. But now, after installing the GeForce 4 instead of Geforce 2, the Problem apperes again. With GF2 installed again, it does not work, too. After switching on, the IDE LED and the LEDs in DVD-ROM and USB-Cardreader lit up. Then they get dark again. There is no beep and no Graphics Signal. I tried to Flash the BIOS chip again, but although flashing works properly, the PC doesn't start to work any more. Who has any ideas for solving this Problem?
