Returning XP1800+ (box) for warranty replacement
I was talking to the guy to work out the RMA and during the conversation, he
told me that they no longer have these processors. My motherboard (MSI K7T Turbo2) allows only up to the 1800+. So he asked me what I wanted to do. So I told him to just send me the fastest chip they have so I could sell it. He laughed, said OK, and wrote down something. Anyways, Im doubting that Ill get the top of the line, but it seems that Ill get an upgrade. To the point. So, i havent kept up on these new motherboards that have been out, but I *REALLY* like my MSI. Is there a good new board out that I can get for cheap with my new processor? or should I just sell the new processor on eBay and buy another 1800? |

interesting, because both my manual and the system AMD has said that the
1800+ was the max. Well, Ill surely try out a 2600 if they give me one. maybe i get a 3200? ahaha "Wes Newell" wrote in message newsan.2003.06.29.06.48.53.280150@SICKOFSPAMveri zon.net... According to their website they support up to the 2600+266 for that board. http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...detail.php?UID =24&NAME=MS-6330%20Ver5.0 But that really doesn't mean much. You should be able to run any cpu you want in it as long as you know how. See sig. Most likely it's based on what was available at the time the manual was published. -- Abit KT7-Raid (KT133) Tbred B core CPU @2400MHz (24x100FSB) http://mysite.verizon.net/res0exft/cpu.html -- -- --John Reply to jclarke at ae tee tee global dot net (was jclarke at eye bee em dot net) |
