Found culprit in performance degradation...
Well, like I said in an earlier thread, I had been on a long hiatus in my
game playing. Reverting back to the 28.32 detonator drivers was something I wanted to do anyway, but it did not solve the 'lag' problem I was having. The culprit was the Microsoft IntelliType driver for my Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard. I edited it out of the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run hive in the registry, and the performance degredation has gone away completely. - carl |
