Default "Invalid access to Memory Location" and Printui.dll - Errors on Install

This is resolved.
In doing research on why the CONSISTENT error occurred on Printer
installs, I discovered that systems with remnants of LanTastic based
programs and / or a system with HD corruption could cause the file
"printui.dll" to be replaced or corrupted. THIS caused the failed
installations under any and all users and ALSO caused the "ADD PRINTER"
icon to NOT function/install/begin install (nada).
Several of the technotes on this problem indicated that running
sfc/ scannow from the RUN line would cause XP to evaluate all system
files. And replace the ones that had been illegally overwritten or
damaged. (sfc /scannow = system file check) .
It worked the first time and all is well. HTH someone.
