!!! How to use a "not-really-empty" epson DX4450 cartridge?
I've got this .. urgent problem!
I need to print and have got a black cartridge that the printer (epson DX4450, windows vista) thinks is empty. I haven't used it a lot and indeed it isn't empty at all!! How can I use it, regardlessly??! I've tried SSC Service Utility but it doesn't recognizes DX4400 series!! Thanks in advance, gionnico. |

Printing using grey from RGB or also eg. just in BLUE would be OK. But I can't print anything if the black is empty OR is not present !! |

There is no miracle answer to getting the cartridge to utilize its ink The chip on it is registering empty even if the cartridge were actually full. If you had a chip resetter like the one listed below you could reset the chip and utilize any ink the cartridge has ( as long as you don't have a head clog and the cartridge does indeed have ink) but other than replacing the cartridge or chip for a new one there is nothing to be done to change the firmware on the machine; unless of course you know a way to re-program the printer and software. http://www.prink.co.uk/ink-cartridge...ipresetter.htm -- Jan Alter or |
