It is fairly easy...be careful and take your time removing the hinge
cover. Many ppl use guitar picks to pry up snap-on plastic parts.

Before or after you had your coffee ????

I don't think too hard but you need something like a jeweler's screw
driver or something fine to use to begin the prying action. Probably
best to see a video what it looks like to open so you know where to
use the screw driver. Once you've done it, I don't think you will
think it's hard to do thereafter.
