Default Quietest fans

What are the quietest but most effective fans you've all come across?

Nexus and Panflos both excellent and quiet fans.

Usually the bigger the size the better! 120mm are well in fashion now. For
something cheap and cheerful take a look at the AKASA amber range.

I found most fans to be quiet once you connect them to a fan controller.

nexus make some great 8cm fans, quietest i've found and at 1,500rpm
still push an fairly good amount of air. costly tho at 40 bucks each
Vantec Stealths are ****, loud bearings.

12cm... anything but thermlatake, they also have noisy bearings. i'm
using a 12cm coolermaster LED fan, runs at about 1,200 rpm, almost silent.

Believe it or not,the standard heatsink+fan from amd xp3800 is very quiet.
Further more some 120mm fans running at 2000 rpm will be heard, but the ones
that run below 1000rpm are also very silent.
Papst at 1500rpm is also silent, just look for the cfm capacity and how much
rpm.
The lower the rpm and still good cfm the better.
