Default CDs recently not recognized in home stereo

I've burned many a audio CD using a Liteon 24X10X40 and they've consistently
worked in my old Technics home stereo CD player.

Recently, a freshly minted CD would play on my portable CD players but not
the Technics unit. This happened again today.

I'm using TDK media rated for 24X but burning at 16X or less.

Is this a sign that the Liteon is aging or have I missed something?

Thanks for any comments.

BTY, this happens with Nero or Roxio. The Technics still plays CD made with
the Liteon in the past.

It's probably due to the medium you used. Try another line of blanks.

Hey Niko,

I know this is somewhat lame to ask, but which brand gives the best

results?

Not lame to ask. I use Fuji blanks (made by Taiyo Yuden). They seem to be
the most compatible with the CD players I use. Best Buy stocks them and has
sales on em from time to time.

I have a 9 yr old JVC 5 disk changer in my kitchen and it is very
picky about what brands of CDRs it will play. I think it is just the
ability of the laser to handle certain brands of cdrs and I have some
color disk work better than others.

The basic solution is to find a brand that works and only use that
brand for your music.

The last batch I bought were no longer TYs.

Generally, if the pack says "made in Japan", they ARE TY-the usual stamper
reading utilties can verify it.
The last batch I bought-only 2 or so months ago did NOT have the screw knob
on the cakebox, but they DID say "made in Japan", and sure enough, they
were indeed TY.

I'm laughing because of my system invulnerability!

However the FBI isn't so humorous as this is a Felony; they are
currently monitoring all such posts for analysis of the sender's ID. I
assure whoever this may be of several facts; you will be found and
prosecuted both Criminally and Civilly.

The reason I posted this notice here is because I have every reason to
believe this malicious idiot inhabits this group; as several attacks
have also contained 'cc'd' addy's of other group members.

So keep em' coming fool; your day of reckoning is at hand.

Yet more promises, Timmy?

(1) BTW, what's the status of this case, Timmy?

all as usual have been forwarded to my local FBI office and agent

Are there problems, Timmy?

No problems ****wit; I promise you'll get your due.

Promises, promises, Timmy. Let see, today is (12/12/01). Do I have

Let me explain something to you little freak; you have been ID'd by
Federal officials and are being watched.

It may be 'quite obvious' to you with your exquisite sense of time,
but it's not so quite obvious to me, Timmy boy. You see, I haven't
done the interview -- yet. In my calendar, future is future, not
past.

Didn't the FBI tell you I had been warned, Timmy boy? Only tell you
an interview WILL be coming, Timmy boy?

Have a Nice Day;
the Eyes of Justice are upon you!

I told you I thought I saw a black helicopter, Timmy boy.
