Default What is the fastest single-core socket 775 CPU?

Wondering what the fastest single-core socket 775 CPU is.

Unless one (or more) of the following is multi-core, I'm thinking it's
going to be one of these:

Pentium Extreme 840EE Smithfield 3.20GHz 800MHz 2MB

Pentium D 960(D0) Presler 3.60GHz 800MHz 4MB

Pentium 4 EE Prescott 3.73GHz 1066MHz 2MB
Pentium 4 672 Prescott 3.80GHz 800MHz 2MB
Pentium 4 670 Prescott 3.80GHz 800MHz 2MB

Pentium 4 571 Prescott 3.80GHz 800MHz 1MB
Pentium 4 570J Prescott 3.80GHz 800MHz 1MB

Or am I missing some (that are faster than the above)?

I see only one with FSB 800 mhz, are there others?

Bonus questions:

For the (desktop) CPU's that came after socket 775 - were any made as
single-core? Or were they all 2 (or more) core?

If there are any post socket-775 CPU's that are single core, how do they
compare (performance wise) to the best single-core socket 775's?

A Celeron 440 or 450 (Conroe based) would beat any Pentium 4/D,
despite 1/4 of cache.

PassMark Software - CPU Benchmarks - CPU Performance by Socket Type
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/socketType.html#id5

According to the above, the two fastest were the Xeon X3380 @ 3.16GHz,
and the Core 2 Extreme X9770 @ 3.2GHz.

The Pentium D 960 was only 17th from the bottom on that list.

There were a lot of post-775 sockets, mind narrowing it down? Or you can
look it up yourself from the above website.

Remember, I'm asking about single-core socket 775 CPU's. Is the X3380
or X9770 a single-core CPU?

I think there are now 3 or 4 new socket types for desktop CPU's since
775. They all start with "11" I think. Or have "11" in the name (like
2011?).

Of those, I think there are now Celeron's that are 4-cores (that's
crazy).

Are there any intel desktop CPU's made after socket 775 that have just a
single core?

Okay, I failed to notice the single-core part of your question, but to
answer your question more completely now, anything being shown as a
"Pentium 4" would be single-core, as Intel renamed all dual-core Pentium
4's as Pentium D's. So anything you see as a Pentium 4 would be the ones
you're looking for.

For the (desktop) CPU's that came after socket 775 - were any
made as single-core? Or were they all 2 (or more) core?

Celeron is no longer Intel's bargain basement brandname, Atom is. Even
AMD sells both Sony and Microsoft with what are essentially
tablet-quality chips (Jaguar), but in 8-core format. They are used in
PS4 and Xbox One.

Are there any intel desktop CPU's made after socket 775 that have just a
single core?

It doesn't seem to make any sense to make CPU's with less than two cores
these days.

Yeah, forgot Cedar Mill! Hardly any sold, probably peoples were waiting
for the Core2...
I had a Cedar Mill 3600 MHz and it was pretty good - didn't suffer from
thermal throttling like Prescott 2M scorcher.
Also it had 1 cycle less latency on L1 or L2; I forget which.
