Default USB flash drive light burned out

Anybody else experience that? It appears to be working correctly, but
the cool blue light doesn't shine anymore.

Had a 16G Kingston crap, they replaced, and ever since I don't leave
them slotted if not actually in use. Got a couple 120V LEDs off a Y-
adaptor that do a 4-color rotation scheme with 15 LEDs each, though.
Screwed in at different times to keep them out of sync, and better
than any nitelight I've ever owned. They should last I'd imagine, oh,
at least 50 years. Sound about right?
