Default Printing using IPP

We've got an office in India processing work and sending prints over our
internal network to our UK printers using Internet Printing Protocol.

Although we've got a 7 Mb network connection between UK and India, we're
finding that it's taking about 10 minutes to print a 3 page document (10
minutes from the first impression on the first page to the 3rd sheet
emerging).

Can anyone suggest any reliable online sites that will be good for info
about configuring for IPP? We're using a Xerox Phaser 6250.

TIA
