The transistors and diodes supposedly can run that hot without problems, but what about any nearby electrolytic capacitors or wire insulation? I can't imagine this PSU having bigger heatsinks than a PC Power & Cooling or Tagen, so shouldn't it run hotter, despite all the vents in its case, especially because its rated efficiency is just 60%? OTOH this Coolmax may be the only fanless ATX PSU without exposed heatsinks, which may be why it's the only one that's UL approved. |
