Preasrio 5000
just installed a new HD old one died in Dads computer
have the 2 quick restore disks for the Compaq presario 5000 But no Emergency disk when I go to use the quick restore disks it asks for this disk HELPPP!!! 5wv350 Model -- Michael Mitchell Bundaberg Q.L.D. Australia zxr750,Nissan Skyline

Try jumpering the new hard drive to Cable Select on the rear of the drive
and see if that fixes the problem. That is, if you have not already done so. Error messages seldom indicate anything useful.
