EDO memory matched pairs

I ordered a stick of 32mb EDO ram for the embedded system I'm building. The
company said they canceled the order because the EDO ram wan't ordered in
pairs. The MB for this project doesn't require matched pairs. Is this a
valid reason to cancel an order in the year 2004?

Not really. Not everyone does things by convention.

Advantech PCM-4823/L

Old Pentium1 motherboards required matched pairs of FPM or EDO,
in which case it's not strange that the order gets canceled if
they assume you are ordering it for such a system.

I looked up your board tho, and it only has one slot for max
32MB of FPM or EDO.
