Data Loss on P4P800 Deluxe
I have googled this and didn't find any solutions. I have a RAID 1 setup
with the onboard VIA controller and have random files disappearing. It happens very infrequenly but is very obvious when it does. For example, I can transfer some files from my main hard drive to my mirrored set and half of the files inside can be missing after the transfer. I haven't flashed my bios yet, but was interested if anyone else out there have experienced this. Thanks in advance Ryan |

Just some ideas:
What happens if you break the RAID? If it still happens, then if you swap back to only the other disc, does it still happen with the other disc? Yes == I would suspect a stuffed controller. If its IDE check the cables. No? I would suspect the drive or cable. Do you have adequate power on the system? - Tim "Bob" wrote in message . com... I have googled this and didn't find any solutions. Thanks in advance Ryan do a google search for windows and large system cache issues Do you mean this problem ? http://www.abxzone.com/forums/showth...=delayed+write You might want to look in Event Viewer, to see if the system has been logging any Delayed Write failures. Maybe your system has been hinting about a problem all along. There is another thread he http://www.abxzone.com/forums/showth...te+ati +cache HTH, Paul |
