Epson cartridge clear tape
I have stupidly removed the clear tape from the bottom of the Ink Cartridges
supplied with my new CX3200 printer/scanner (T041 and T040). I have now used them in my printer. Will this do any damage to my printer and should I consider taking them out and replacing them? My only defence is that I'm an HP convert and used to removing the tape from the bottom of the cartridges ( Will |

should I consider taking them out and replacing them? There is not any problem, the cartridges have valves at the output holes. Use them with no consideration. |

Thanks for the replies so far. The reason I asked about this is that I read
somewhere that the tape is used to create a vacuum, and that removing the tape can introduce air into the print heads which might clog them up. Can anyone verify or deny this. Thanks again, Will "Mark Herring" wrote in message ... The tape is to control evaporation, contamination, etc. during storage. ************************** Mark Herring, Pasadena, Calif. Private e-mail: Just say no to "No". |
