Default Corsair PC 3200 versus Corsair PC 3500 for A7N8X deluxe

Is there any benefit of using PC 3500 other than overclocking? I am
using two sticks of Corsair TwinX 512 meg now but have two sticks of
Corsair XMS PC 3500 512 meg too. The PC 3500 has black heat spreaders and
I don't know if that means the ram is different than the platinum model.

Also, the A7N8X deluxe recognzes the PC 3200 timings but not PC 3500. Is
this normal?

Which of these memoroes should I stick with? Thanks.
