Default recording problems

hi i have been trying to record my songs off my computer but when i
do a 2 track recording i find when i use track 1 as a guide vocal for
track 2 track 2 picks up track 1 also if i get an email or some
contacts me on msn it picks up the sound of it i have been told it`s a
sound card problem
my sound card is a realtek ac97 the programe i am useing is magix
audio studio delux 11
can anyone help
