LG Flatron 795
After being at university ive brought my system hime and something has gone
horribly wrong. Everything is working fine, yet the monitor has a strange blue/green tint to it and no red is shown, I have tried everything i can think of to solve the problems but im pretty poor with computers and need major help. I know that the monitor is capable of displaying red as when i change the settings on the monitor the bars are in red, yet red seems to be displayed as black on anything but the monitor setup??! What to do......... Thanks for any help, Lloyd |

You don't need to jump to a dead tube first off, here are a couple of other
things to check before bringing it in for servicing. The monitor is getting no red signal, check the pins on the connector to see if that all seem fine, some may be missing but as long as non are cracked or bent should be fine. If bent, then straigthen, and or it looks like one is cracked then the cable will need to be replaced If that does not find the problem try the monitor on another computer, if the monitor works fine then your video card is at fault, if the monitor still isn't working properly then it is an electronic problem that you will have to bring it in for servicing hope this helps Keith "Amethyst" wrote in message ... Thanks for all your advice, it was infact a bent pin, and the monitor is now
working, so my panic is over, wasnt too keen on buying a new monitor as i dont think my student loan would stretch that far! Lloyd |
