Default Adaptec Software

I like the CD Creator software that came with my Plextor but that software
doesn't appear to recognize some other brands of CD burners. It worked with
an LG but others wouldn't work and I had to install Nero, which would be my
second choice. Any advice?

IMHO, in the long run you'd be better off getting familiar with Nero.
They have a better track record of updates and addressing
compatibility issues. Have you tried Nero Express? It mimics the
simplicity of EZCD.

Since you refer to it as "Adaptec", it is presumably an older version.
Mastering software is 'tuned' to each drive it supports, so old software
won't run new drives. You may be able to patch it to provide support for
some more recent drives; otherwise, you need to buy either an upgrade to
ECDC 6 or choose another program.
