Default Upgrade to Nero 6.3.1.25?

I have Nero 5.5.10.56 and would like to know whether there is any
significant benefit to upgrading to the free Nero 6.3.1.25 package (4
files)?

Upgrading from Nero 5 to 6 is not free, and the latest Nero 6 is
6.6.0.18.

The change I like the most in Nero 6 is the support for long Joliet in
filenames (up to 109 chars). If Nero 6 is free to you, recommend
upgrade.

I don't believe it will be FREE if you are upgrading from a previous
version - in your case, version 5.

It appears to be a free download from

http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero6_3.html

So my question still stands.

The above poster is right, this version is not free. If you attempt to
install this upgrade from Nero 5.5.x, it will warn you that you are
upgrading to Nero 6 Demo Version.
