My Highest Temps.
Running three copies of TMPGEnc Plus 2.58.44.152
Encoding three @ a time. If I hadn't seen it, I'm not sure I would believe it myself. Filters as Follows. Deinterlace (Double) Sharpen edge : Horizontal 14 : Vertical 14 Source range, this does nothing I know. Audio Filter 60% Bitrate of Video 5.1 Mbits/s Ran two of them more then one time. Also, Set Task Manager @ Realtime for all three. Temp High just hit 98ºF but not for long enough to count. 36ºC / 96ºF @ the Highest Temp. Me thinks that's doing good. Hows about someone else? Just wonder, that's all. P4 2.6c @ 3.23 GHz.. Denny. |

P4 2.6C @ 3250, Ram @ 400. Watercooling, usual 'busy' temps around 32C (games), but when running Seti with Prime95 (REAL 100% load), i can reach 42-44, depending on the time of year (ambient 20-25C). My rig; http://home.zonnet.nl/hansvdhorst/ph...cooling/10.jpg This weekend, I have installed a VGA watercooler, Swiftech MCW50... Really cool thing :-) My Radeon 9500 (softmodded to 9700) can run at 390 / 327 instead of it's standard 275/270... MAN it's fast ;-) http://home.zonnet.nl/hansvdhorst/ph...cooling/11.jpg Well... don't know if this is a really useful post, it's got a lot of "Oh I am so good" in it, hahahaha... Greets, Thomas |

Greets, Thomas Not much higher using Prime95. About the same as using Sisoftware Sandra 2004 Pro. 95ºF was about the highest it went. Running an encode in the background, @ the same time as Prime95 I just hit 100ºF That was before I froze up. Running a little faster too, I'm now up to 3,341.2 (3.34 GHz) Multipilier x 13.0 FSB = 257.0 MHz Bus Speed is 1,028.1 Reading CPU-Z Ram 171.3 MHz 2xPC2100 128MB And 2xPC3200 128MB total of 512 running dual channel mode. P4 2.6C? If that's what you Plan to get, DO IT!! :-) :-) :-) :-) You Have My Support!! If I can go this high, you should be able to too... """Re-Think What You Want In Ram""" If You Get Some Of the fastest out there, it's not a sure thing you can Overclock it. Get Cheap Dram like I have, PC2100 or get PC2700 Memory.. Here, I'll show you why. I don't know why, but I get WAY higher temps when playing Hoyle Puzzle Games
2004 (crosswords) than I do with Quake 3 or other games. CPU would hit about 60 degrees C and then the machine would freeze. Quite frustrating until I started watching the temps and figuring out what was happening. "Dennis E Strausser jr" wrote in message ...
