Default SATA, Drive letters, and Windows XP

You CANNOT change the drive letter on your boot or system partition in XP.

Windows XP does allow drive letter changes through "Disk Management"
(Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage", select "Disk Management" under
"Storage") The option is available even on the system partition. I do not
know, however, what effect this will have on your computer's ability to boot
afterward.

Well, obviously I didn't try it just to find out. If you had read my entire
post you would see that I suggested that the poster check out the help files
etc... I did not say with certainty that it could be done.

However, the option was available when I clicked on it ... I didn't try to
change it, but I did get all the way to the point where it is done.
