Default Stupid question time

Ok, sorry if this has been asked before, and I know it is a stupid
question, but I have to ask as I have a senior moment here.
Is a *.iso file burnt onto a CDR automatically bootable, or should it be
burn as a bootable CDR?

Thanks

An .iso file is an image of a CD, and reflects the boot status of the CD
that was imaged to produce the .iso file.

If it is an image of a bootable, then a faithful burn of that image will
produce a bootable CD automatically.

If it is an image of a NON-bootable CD, then a burn of that image will
not be bootable.
