And a year ago I would have never thought I would say this... but with these new UMPC, I never use my desktops or larger laptops anymore. Would an eeePC work with an AT&T or Verizon usb broadband card? Since the eeePC runs linux should I just look for a UMPC that runs windows? I know there is a specially modified version of XP for the eeePC, but I'd rather not have to change the OS, as I believe the system doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. I see no reason why an EeePC wouldn't work with an USB broadband card. Just make sure you have the right OS that will run it. And the EeePC Windows XP version is the same as other Windows XP versions. Nothing really special about it. And yes the EeePC doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. But it isn't normally a big deal as long as you have another computer that does. -- Bill Asus EEE PC 8GB 1GB SoDIMM Adata 16GB Windows XP SP2 and Xandros Linux |
