Inspiron 9200 screen problem
(this isn't for me, someone I know has one with a faulty screen)
The screen only displays a small amount of the output "properly" but if you press a specific area about 1" from the centre left of the panel, it brings it back up almost completely correct again (still got a few lines, but usable) ISTR there was a specific model of Dell laptops that had major issues with the screen - was this one of the models affected by any chance ? (it's about 3 yrs old apparently, so well out of warranty, but the screen has been like this for over 12 months - but only recently became a problem when the owner needed to use it on the move again instead of it being hooked up to a normal monitor) |
