Thanks, I'll try that.

Did you happen to change the JP1 or JP2 jumpers? These are the so-called
undocumented memory voltage jumpers. I recall some people on this NG

stating
that they had problems when the went to faster CPU while the jumpers where

in a
configuration that muskin??? recommended to keep the memory operating

inside the
designed tolerances. After returning to default positions, they indicated
system began operating normally.

It is a 333FSB - not sure of vcore setting (set for auto), board not

here,
the external frequency set at 133 - tried 166 & it wouldn't boot at all.

The
2.5 refers to SDRam CAS latency setting. The bios shows XP2600 alright,

just
won't boot. I first had installed DDR 2100 266 ram and setup on auto, it
would boot fine into XP Home but would freeze within 10 or 15 minutes,

much
sooner if I tried a game such as one based on Tom Clancy's stuff when it
would freeze within a minute of entering the game. That's when I changed

to
the KVR333 ram.

What revision of the board do you have? Also is it a 333 FSB or 266

FSB
CPU--sounds like a 333 from your post?

I seem to remember reading that the earlier version boards may be

missing
some
signal lines that come from the CPU to allow for auto selection.

Is Vcore set to proper voltage?

BTW...was that a ? I think you meant 12.5..right?

I have this combination & I can't get past initial boot segment.

Won't
boot at
all configured on auto. Manually set @ 133 CPU MHz @ 2.5 -

Suggestions
please!
