Default Network PC & Mac

I know sum1 that wants to connect to the internet with broadband using an
internal ADSL modem. Is it possible to connect a Mac laptop to it so the
Mac can use the same connection?

You say it's an *internal* DSL modem? If it is indeed internal to a PC
running Windows, install a NIC in the PC and then use a *crossover* patch
cable to connect to the Macintosh. Set up Internet Connection Sharing on
the PC or use some gateway software to allow the PC to act as the
host/gateway to the internet.

Then, just set up TCP/IP on the Mac with the appropriate data.

I've done this at work with a Mac G3 that was sitting next to a PC that was
connected to the network and it worked great. It was much easier than
running a new drop from the hub in the attic.
