Presario 5365/Win98SE - inexplicable shutdowns to a blinking cursor

Follow-up set to alt.sys.pc-clone.compaq I've seen a handful of compaq presario 5000 series be unstable, the root cause in several systems was the built-in video. When replaced with an add-in card, The systems were much more stable.
