What is this site, a David Letterman enterprise? Let's see what we
can throw in the shredder next?

What are the ways some of you are using to destroy old CDs that, i.e.,
have data backed up from PC that you don't need to keep anymore?

I have too many to destroy one at a time by hand, but the CD shredders
I've found are pretty expensive. Other ideas?

Use a random orbit sander to remove some of the data layer all you need is
one go on each CD from the centre to the rim , no need to get all the data
layer off. Wear safety glasses and don't do it inside it makes a mess.

Put a stack of 20 in a vice and with a hacksaw cut from the edge to the
centre hole.

Regards, Malcolm.
