Default making bootable cdrom without floppy

trying to install windows ME onto a empty drive I ran into
a small problem, the internal floppy controller no longer works.
where can I find files to make a bootable cdrom with ezcd 5 without
using a floppy at all. all I would need is a dos prompt and cdrom driver
support to start the install.

If you have an original or 1:1 copy of the Windows Me CD it should be bootable.

Have you tried it?

I have. It has never worked in my systems.

My PartitionMagic CD boots just fine. So does a bootable CD made in CD
Creator or Nero.

The only version of WinMe I've ever worked with was an OEM. I've been told that
the retail versions are not bootable. Go figure...
