Mike Richter, were you born with "Scam Artist" emblazoned on your face? -------------------------------------- Mike Richter (Slimy Friggin SOB) squeaked: error rate begins to rise Have you seen C1 errors since (8/10/05)? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mikey, do you ever see any C1 errors with CDSpeed on your machines? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Richter (Slimy Friggin ****) splattered (8/10/05): James Perrett wrote (8/8/05): Do you ever see any C1 errors with CDSpeed on your machines? "Edward Diener No Spam" wrote in message ink.net... I foolishly threw $40 away on a new Samsung DVD Writer that does not work. I stupidly bought an OEM version from NewEgg, rather than simply pay another $8-10 dollars for the retail version, and now it will probably take weeks for my to get a replacement from Samsung, if I can get any at all, and I will no doubt spend some more money returning it to them, never mind the turn around time to get a replacement. Does anybody know of a reliable company selling a DVD Burner that will work first time out of the box ? I am eager to get one quickly that actually works and just forget about the lemon I bought. If the burner didn't work from the beginning, Newegg WILL replace it. OEM or not. Even if worked for a short time and crapped out, contact them anyway. There's a good chance they will still replace it anyway. Most of the OEM stuff they sell has a standard 1 year warranty. Doesn't hurt to try. |

In my tests, only some high-quality, non-HS media did not show painful increases in errors over six months or so of storage. My tests were sufficient for my needs but not thorough enough to report in detail. [Covering up all your assholes, Asshole?] The result is that I use erasables *only* for short-term storage and write fixed-length packets only for testing. YMMV. ====================== Perhaps you used to dig the C1 errors out of your assholes, Mikey? ' ------------------------------- Wow!
