LG-16X Super Multi DVD/CD Rewriter with Win 98SE?

Hi
I am planning for an upgrade to WinXP etc. in a couple of month.
Yesterday my CdRom had enough. While trying to get a replacement I
came across the above DVD/CD Rewriter at the current end of year sale.
I bought the writer ( DVD +/-R/RW, DVD-Ram, CD RW) without looking at
the OS requirement of win 2000, Win ME and Win XP.

The recording software is listed as Nero Express (CD/DVD).
I also use a LiteOn Cd-RW using Nero Express which I am supposed to
uninstall before installing the new writer.

Will the new unit run on Win 98SE? I cannot bring the OS upgrade
forward at this moment.

The drive doesn't care what OS you use, it's all software issues. DVD-RAM
requires a driver, you may need to look up an older Panasonic driver for
burning RAM.
