Can't find CD drives
I defragged my hard drive earlier today and now my computer will not
recognize my CD Rom or CD-RW drives. They do not show up in My Computer or in Device Manager. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Phil B.

Go to device manager and uninstall the IDE controller that the drives are

I found this post using Google. I have an identical problem, but use Win98

Turned computer off (Power). Waited a few minutes and then turned
