Have you added a new piece of hardware, or extra memory? If so,
then try without it.

Yeah, looking at things again, I would imagine that the reason its
saying 'Updating ESCD' is because, when you reset the BIOS, something
was enabled by default (such as onboard LAN for instance) that hadn't
been enabled previously.

Mine will do that for something as basic as whether
the KVM is switched to that PC at boot time.

Not saying that's what's causing it to stall, though.

clear the cmos via the jumper or unplug and pull the wafer battery

help, but clearing the cmos via the jumper helped!
