Default Can I use both USB and firewire ports concurrently in an external drive ?

Hi,

I have two computers and one external hard disk. The external disk is
a WD Caviar in a C-309 aluminum enclosure with two ports: 1 Firewire
and 1 USB 2.0.

I would like to connect the external drive to both computers
concurrently. Do you think that's possible ?

I think most likely it is not but I am not sure. Maybe the firmaware
is smart enough to handle that ... I don't know.

Thank you for your attention !
mau.

Do NOT connect the external harddrive to the two computers simultaneously.
