Output only one application to video card

I am working on a proof on concept to build a music video jukebox from
a PC. My biggest concern at this time is I want to be able to stream
a music video out to a TV, while a user uses a completely separate
interface on the monitor. Is this possible if I install another video
card with an output next to my current video card? What if I just
replaced my current videocard? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Would guess that a dual output video card does for this job, you can
sent any strea of video to the second output for most of them and you
simply use the first output for the normal operation. Check before buy
though as there is no conform standard on how these things work,
dependgs on the brand and the amount of money spend.
