Default BadAxe2 ECC support

Hello,

Few months ago I purchased Intel D975XBX2 motherboard and I am very
satisfied with performance and stability. Yesterday I tried to install
ECC memory but I got "no RAM" signal - 3 beeps regardless of slot
combination.

Modules a

IBM low profile
designation: 1GB 1Rx4 PC2-5300P-555-12-U0
FRU: 39M5863

Modules originated from some Blade server, i think.

Is it possible that the memory modules are the problem ?

Thank you,

Hans

Yes. Your motherboard cannot use registered DIMMs.

Thank you,

Hans
