Default problem with Toshiba Satellite LCD laptop monitor

i have a horizontal white line that goes across the screen, about 1/3
down. it is very annoying. i have heard of other people having this
same problem with Toshiba laptop LCD screens before as well. does
anyone know if Toshiba will cover this under warranty (i have had it
less than a year), or if there is anything quick i can do to fix it?

thanks
