upgrade question?
Ok I have:
asus a7v266-e xp 1700+(pallimo i think) ATI radion 8500 100gb total storage(2 drives 40+60) 712 mb generic 2100 ram 52X cdrom 4X backpack cd RW I have about $500cdn to spend to upgrade this rig. what would be my best options? I use it mostly for games and I'm starting to get into programing. TIA |

I use it mostly for games and I'm starting to get into programing. learning how to program does not require a terribly hi-end machine so as far as upgrades go...it;s simply a matter of what you need for maximum gaming performance... usually the video card is one of the critical areas btw: if your generic ram is working ok you might as well leave it... but next time you build a machine i;d opt for a "name brand" |
