The Asus A7V600-X is a VIA KT600 NorthBridge not a VIA KT400/A NB, also the
max supported cpu is Athlon XP 3200+ (Socket A: 462pin) and can clock 12 * 200 with good memory + psu. The Athlon XP 3200+ (Socket A: 462pin) will be difficult to source as currently they are only available in the Athlon 64 format (socket 754, 939, 940). -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com

Why not check with Asus?
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/c...Language=en-us The fastest CPU on the list is an Athlon XP 3200+ (Barton). As another poster remarked, the A7V 600X uses the KT600 chipset, not the KT400A.
