average battery life

I have a new 5150 and the battery only seems to last about 2 1/2 hours =
when it is fully charged and if I haven't used it in awhile, it seems to =
go dead in about 4 days.........is this normal? This is the 2nd battery =
they've sent me because the first one wouldn't hold charge at all.

Which battery do you have. Costco uses a 12 cell Litium Ion 96 WHr battery
for their configuration of this Dell model. They describe battery charge as
2 to 5 hours.

That's what it is..........but why do I only get 2 hours when I'm pretty =
much doing nothing on it......never got anywhere near 5, that's for =
sure..........and the lights on the case don't work showing that it's =
charging, charged or even getting critically low......I have no warning =
before it dies.
