Default Samsung ML-1740 Dead

This Samsung printer worked flawlessly for a year and a half, then
stopped. It has no sign of life, no pilot light, nothing. Is there a
fuse that has blown? Help!

Hopefully someone with more direct knowledge can tell you about your
specific printer. I have taken dozens and dozens of other models apart
though. I have never seen a user replaceable fuse that could be
accessed from outside the printer. Almost all do have fuses inside on
the circuit board in the power supply area. They are usually soldered
to the board. I love a situation where nothing happens. Those are
often the easiest to diagnose and sometime to fix as well. I'd check
the plug and wire by wiggling it around at the ends while holding the
printer "on" button. Then I'd check continuity on the plug with the
printer turned on and follow the continuity into the circuit board
inside. There is a chance of a blown fuse inside. There is just as
much chance that an additional problem caused the fuse to blow and you
would need to component check/fix the board.
PS. Make sure the outlet has power before taking stuff apart.

A clear indication that the warranty has expired.
They expect you to buy a new one each year.
