How long does it usually take between the announcement of a new
drive and it showing up at retailers?

It has been three and a half months and the 1.5 TB Samsungs are
still not on Pricewatch. The Western Digital 2 TB drives also have
not shown up. Are they waiting for the back-to-school sales or are
they waiting for Christmas sales?
