p4p800 & voodoo 5500 agp - compatible?
I've got an old hand-me-down Voodoo 5500 AGP from my dad, and barely enough
money for the new mobo and RAM. I've heard that the P4P800 doesn't support all AGP voltages -- anyone know how I can tell whether or not the Voodoo 5500 is compatible or not? Preferably without plugging it in and frying something? ;-) TIA, ~ The LC -- [TheLC at hotpop dot com] |

That's why I gave my AGP version to my son and replaced it with a PCI
version quite some time ago. Currently running it in a P4PE along side a GF4 Ti4200 128mb AGP card. Just had too many sims that don't really care for either the GF card or Win XP. So a dual-boot and dual cards required. Love it and have no problems with the setup. In article , says... anyone know how I can tell whether or not the Voodoo 5500 is compatible or not? It isn't, so don't try it. |
